Connect an AI assistant

TOW Careers works with AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code. Once connected, your assistant can read your candidate profile, see your matched roles and open portal jobs, and add or update applications in your tracker — always as you, after you approve access. It can never see anyone else's data.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT connector settings and turn on Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there). If Developer mode is unavailable, ask your ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. 2Open the new connector dialog.
  3. 3Enter TOW Careers as the name and paste your connection link from above as the URL.
  4. 4Review the details, tick "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this warning for every custom connector), then click Create.
  5. 5Sign in with your TOW Careers account and approve access when asked. Then enable TOW Careers from the chat composer and ask ChatGPT to use it.

Claude

  1. 1Open Claude's add connector dialog — TOW Careers and your link are already filled in.
  2. 2Review the details and click Add.
  3. 3If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose "Add custom connector", name it TOW Careers and paste your connection link.
  4. 4Sign in with your TOW Careers account and approve access when asked. Then enable the connector from the chat composer and ask Claude to use it.

Claude Code

  1. 1Run this one line in your terminal:

  1. 2Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm TOW Careers is connected. Sign in from that menu when asked.
  2. 3Ask Claude Code to use TOW Careers.

Other AI assistants

  1. 1Open your assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. 2Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. 3Name it TOW Careers and paste your connection link.
  4. 4Finish any sign-in or approval prompts.
  5. 5Enable the connection and ask the assistant to use TOW Careers.

After TOW Careers updates

Your assistant keeps a saved copy of the tools it connected to. When TOW Careers adds or changes features, refresh the connection so your assistant picks them up.

ChatGPT

  1. 1. Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select TOW Careers.
  2. 2. Scroll to "Information" and click Refresh.
  3. 3. ChatGPT can't update an existing connector's URL — if it changed, delete the connector and repeat the connect steps with the latest link.
  4. 4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use TOW Careers.

Claude

  1. 1. Open the Connectors page and select TOW Careers.
  2. 2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. 3. Claude can't update an existing connector's URL — if it changed, remove the connector and repeat the connect steps with the latest link.
  4. 4. Ask Claude to use TOW Careers.

Claude Code

  1. 1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools.
  2. 2. If the link changed, run claude mcp remove tow-careers, then run the install command again with the latest link.
  3. 3. Ask Claude Code to use TOW Careers.

Other assistants

  1. 1. Open the assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. 2. Select the TOW Careers connection.
  3. 3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. 4. If the link changed, paste the latest link from above.
  5. 5. Start a new chat or session and ask the assistant to use TOW Careers.
